Join Harrison County genealogist Lynne Keasling and HCPL Genealogy Department Head Kathy Fisher to learn tips and basics of starting your genealogy and growing your family tree. Fly Your Flag (Properly)!: Learn about some history, common uses, and missteps, of displaying the Red, White, and Blue. Participants may bring old, tattered American flags that are ready to be retired. First Families Workshop: Joint program with HCPL and Southern Indiana Genealogical Society will provide an overview of the "First Families" project and suggest strategies for anyone wanting to learn more about researching direct descent from a settler living in Floyd, Harrison or Clark Counties prior to Dec. 31, 1840.
