Cookie Decorating Class: In this class you will learn how to decorate Valentine's Day Cookies. COST:$12.00 - Which can be paid at any of our branches at the time of registration.



Family Tree Saplings: Interested in finding out your family history but don't know where or how to begin? Join Harrison County genealogist Lynne Keasling and HCPL Genealogy Department Head Kathy Fisher to learn tips and basics of starting your genealogy and growing your family tree. First Families Workshop: Joint program with HCPL and Southern Indiana Genealogical Society will provide an overview of the "First Families" project and suggest strategies for anyone wanting to learn more about researching direct descent from a settler living in Floyd, Harrison or Clark Counties prior to Dec. 31, 1840. Virtual Driving Tour of Harrison County: Local historian Bill Brockman discusses the Harrison County Driving Tour project and highlights some lesser known history. FREE, Register by calling 812-738-5412.


The Worth of Royal Heroes: The Southern Indiana Grand Army of the Republic: Hear military history enthusiast Michael Peake speak about the nine G.A.R. posts that were in Harrison County. He will also provide an overview of the dozens of other posts within five neighboring counties, and discuss several key Civil War personalities of the region.
